A topic debated by many, I recently found a quick and understandable video on the issue of "wife beating" that many associate with Islam. Unfortunately, many women, not just Muslim, are disrespected by men, which they shouldn't be of course. For those Muslims who do beat/ hurt their wives or any other women, they should definitely listen to this video. This concept of "wife beating" being encouraged in Islam is FALSE, especially the way that it is commonly done by physically abusing women. Whether the abuse is done physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. it is WRONG and considered OPPRESSION which is FORBIDDEN in Islam!
