Quran Weekly's Ramadan Pro Tips
All the tips are listed below. I will continue to add the tips as they are put up. My favorite reminders are bolded.
1. Allah has no need for a person to deprive themselves from food, water and drink if he can’t discipline his tongue.
2. Small children do not need to be an obstacle to our spiritual ambitions during the month of Ramadan. Learn how parents can balance enjoying the spirituality of the month of Ramadan while sharing the responsibility of caring for young children.
3. Take advantage of the excellent opportunities to seek knowledge and to be able to learn more about ones’ deen and religion this Ramadan
4. This Ramadan, while we learn to be patient while fasting we also need to learn to appreciate the blessings that we enjoy.
5. Attending tarawih prayers allows a person to listen to the recitation of the Quran, which is a source of blessing and guidance for all of us.
6. Host an iftar, at the masjid or at your home, and earn the reward of those fasting without decreasing their reward.
7. Training yourself to get up and eat suhoor not only ensures you earn the blessing of the pre-fast meal but also allows one to engage in additional worship during the early morning hours.
8. Sisters who are unable to pray and fast during Ramadan can make sure their Ramadan is still spiritually beneficial and productive by doing one small, incredibly beneficial thing – making dua!
9. Strengthen your relationship with the Quran by dedicating a set amount of time every day to recitation and then reading the translation.
10. Break the fast as soon as it comes in with a small amount of food and drink, and focus on making dua and praying maghrib on time.
11. For lightening the load or burden on fellow coworkers in the month of Ramadan, Allah will forgive all of that person's sins and free them from the fire of Hell.
12. Those who perform umrah in the month of Ramadan earn the reward of performing hajj with the Prophet (peace be upon him).
13. This Ramadan, while we show generosity to everyone around us, do not forget to also show generosity and kindness to your family members.
